During the Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) 2021, SIGHT, with support from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, coordinated subtheme four: “COVID-19 and the global megatrends”. This included the co-delivery of five webinars and a plenary session together with Ashley McKimm (BMJ), Rintaro Mori (UNFPA), John Balbus (NIEHS), the WHO and USAID, amongst other collaborators. This year in a virtual form, PMAC presented speakers from 35 different countries and a global audience from 87 countries, discussing topics of global health, the direct and indirect effects of the pandemic, as well as solutions for progress towards the 2030 Agenda.
