SIGHT was able to start early 2017 thanks to initial funding by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
In the end of 2017 the Swedish Government announced that they will support SIGHT’s initiative financially.
SIGHT has received additional funding from the Sweden based foundation of the Einhorn family (Familjen Einhorns stiftelse) for the annual SIGHT Award starting 2017.
